Oct. 16

I am okay will the defeat last Saturday, considering we did not have ether captain, and many players playing out of position. This maybe a good thing, over the last two games a lot of younger and less experienced players have gotten playing time, plus some of the older players have been forced in to new roles and positions. All of this will lead to more flexibility come tourney time (October 26-28). Game balls to Cory Combs, Thomas Meissner, Jacob Irons, and Dean Nafziger (he is quickly becoming the best goalkeeper I have ever seen).

Last regular season game Saturday at 3:45pm on field 1, please be there by 3:15pm. I will let you all know more about the fall tournament as soon as I know more, just try to keep your schedule clear.

5-7-07

First thing, I was very proud of the 14 players that took the field on Saturday and made  one of the best teams in the league frustrated, all the way to just a 3-0 lost (not bad considering the last to games against Germantown 6-0 and 8-0). This is very impressive considering we had players playing out of position, and some playing a lot more minutes than they are use to. After the game the opposing coach said that Saturday’s game was the hardest game of the year for his team, and he also wanted to buy Dean from us (NO WAY THAT WILL EVER HAPPEN). Game balls to Nick Runyard, Alex Pierce, and of course Dean Nafziger.

Next I would like to have a banquet after the fall tournament, but my life at this time does not allow have time to plan this. I need a parent or parents to take care of planning this, my mom said if no one steps up she will start nagging people.

Next week’s game is at 5:00pm on field 1.

I don't know

This week I have had a very hard time thinking of what to say, first because I was sick on Saturday and I do not remember much from the game, and second Germantown is our next opponent. For whose who's kids that did not play on the team last fall, to be frank there is no love lose between last fall's players and Germantown . I don't much like them ether.

Game balls last week, Cory Combs, Kira Colthurst, Chris Rodman

Game at 2:30pm on Saturday, Please be there by 2:00 or as soon as possible

I HATE games lost at the very end

Sorry it took so long to post. I was not sure what to make of the 1-0 loss last Saturday, I have now come to this conclusion the team played very hard but not together, and they did not play a style of soccer that will work for this team (not the way they played in the first two game). Even with all of that, Eureka could only beat this team by one and one very later goal at that.

Remember Game at 5pm on Saturday, but be at Washington by 3:55pm for photos.

P.S. game balls to Hannah Bauersfeld, Noah Litwiller, Dean Nafziger

First's and Second's

First thing the game ball went out to Caleb Jennings and Thomas Meissner for their out standing play in the first game of the year.

This Saturday’s game had many firsts and seconds for individual players and for the team. First Cory Combs had his first goal as a member of OJSC (finely). It was the first win for many members of this team (Caleb, Thomas, Gabby, Vince, Jared, Jade, Nick, Melissa, Taylor, and Michaela). It was also the first win in the 4-4-2 formation. Dean’s first clean sheet (English term for shut out). My first win as the only coach on the sideline. The game saw, Noah get his first two goals of the year. The game had, the second Jr. High start for some players; Caleb, Thomas, Melissa, and Taylor. Chris had a goal with in the first two minutes for the second time (find a spot to sit before the game starts so you don’t miss the next quick goal).

Needless to say I am very proud of this team. This week’s game balls go to Hannah Bauersfeld and Ben Callahan. Our next game is at 5:00pm next Saturday on field two (that is the next field over from where we have played the first two games). Please everyone be there by 4:30pm.

saturday's game

Dear Olympia Parents

I am sorry about the refing job that was done, and I am also sorry for the way that I acted toward the center referee that was not a good influence for the kids. If you would like to e-mail the league president and let your voice be heard you can e-mail Blake Staley at BStaley@mtco.com. I have just sent him an e-mail to him explained my side of what went on.

On a happier note I was very pleased with the way the whole team played, there are still some things to work on but there always are. Tuesday after the practice I will post the first to game ball winners. This is a new thing, each week I will choose two or three player that had just out standing games.

Sincerely,

Mark
